FOX XII Test Build is Out Now!


๐Ÿงช Test Build Release โ€“ Devlog

This project started as a personal side project about six months ago, originally with a narrative-driven focus. After the first month, development shifted toward a gameplay-centered approach, leading to the structure the game has today.

The current build includes:

  • ๐ŸŒ€ Procedurally generated dungeons built from scratch
  • ๐Ÿ“ˆ A custom player progression system
  • ๐Ÿค– AI enemies designed to complement the player mechanics

This version is a foundational test build. Most of the core technical systems are in place, providing a stable base for future content and features.


Looking Ahead

At the moment, the game plays like a traditional roguelike — progress resets after each run. However, a permanent progression system is nearly complete. This system will include:

  • ๐Ÿ… A separate permanent leveling system for the player
  • ๐Ÿ  Upgrades to the starting area based on long-term progress
  • ๐Ÿ—ก๏ธ Additional weapons, enemies (including bosses), and dungeon biomes with gameplay and visual differences

This test build is meant to gather feedback and ensure the core systems are solid before expanding the game further.
